IAG secures one-third of the SAF needed for 10pc SAF by 2030

Luis Gallego, CEO of IAG, is advocating for increased production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) with government support to decarbonize aviation

Gallego emphasized that SAF is a viable solution for reducing aviation emissions and called for producers to scale up SAF supply, especially in the UK to boost economic growth and create jobs

IAG has been expanding its suppliers of SAF, with a significant purchase agreement with e-SAF producer Twelve announced in February, who will supply advanced e-SAF made from CO2, water, and renewable energy

IAG has invested $1bn in SAF as of December 2023 and has already secured one-third of the SAF needed to achieve its goal of flying with 10pc SAF by 2030.
