Iberia Latin American network up 20pc on pre-pandemic

Iberia is expanding its Latin American network and will offer 5.3m seats to and from the region in 2024, up 16pc on 2023 and up 20pc on pre-pandemic.

The carrier plans to operate more than 320 weekly flights between Europe and Latin America, with routes to Argentina, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico receiving the largest capacity increases.

Iberia will increase frequencies, including three times daily flights between Spain and Argentina, twice-daily frequencies to Sao Paulo, and thrice-daily flights on the Madrid-Bogota route

TAP Air Portugal will operate a total of 95 weekly flights between Lisbon and Brazil this summer including a new route between Lisbon and Florianópolis to launch on September 12, becoming TAP’s 12th Brazilian destination.
