Royal Caribbean International is confident that repairs on the LNG-powered vessel will be completed in time to resume normal itineraries by the scheduled sailing on October 5, 2024.
The cruise line has provided an update on the Icon of the Seas, currently undergoing unplanned maintenance at Grand Bahama Shipyard following a cancelled sailing in late September.
The Icon of the Seas is set to depart from PortMiami for a seven-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas, with stops at Royal Caribbean’s private island Perfect Day at CocoCay, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.
Passengers affected by the cancelled September 28 cruise were offered full refunds and Future Cruise Credits, along with reimbursement for flights booked through the company and other travel expenses incurred independently.
