Irish Air Traffic Controllers have warned pilots and aircraft professionals to show them “respect and dignity” after an incident of “abusive behaviour”.

AirNav Ireland, a semi-state entity which manages crucial airspace over Ireland and plays a vital role in transatlantic flights, issued a NOTAM emphasizing the need for pilots and aircraft professionals to maintain respect in communications with air traffic control.

The statement was reportedly prompted by incidents of abusive behavior towards staff, stressing that unprofessional conduct will be recorded and addressed appropriately.
