Ireland visits to Spain in April 2025 reached a record 250,214, up 5.2pc on 2024 and 32.8pc on pre pandemic. The number of Irish visits for the first four months was also up by 5.2pc.
Spain received 8.6m international tourists in April, 10.1pc more than in the same month in 2024. In the first four months of 2025, the number of overall tourists to Spain increased by 7.1pc. Catalonia emerged as the leading tourist destination in April, accounting for 20.3pc of all tourists.
Visits to Andalucía saw a 15.5pc increase while Balearic Islands experienced a 13.4pc rise in tourism.
