Is this the most luxurious cruise ship in the world?

The third of a series of newbuilds for Regent, the 750-passenger Seven Seas Grandeur is latest to line up for the coveted and contested title of “world’s most luxurious cruise ship,” which the line used for sister ship Silver Seas Explorer. 

The €478m new build will have the highest space and crew ratio per passenger in the industry and its version of the Regent Suite. 

Withs ea trials complete, the Seven Seas Grandeur’s maiden voyage is scheduled for November 26, 2023, starting in Barcelona and ending in Miami. After its maiden voyage and transatlantic crossing, the ship will offer 17 itineraries in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, ranging from seven to 16 nights.

In quest of the theme of “epicurean perfection” (whatever that means), the ship will have four restaurants and debut a new version of Compass Rose, the ship’s main dining room. Expect eye-catching sculptures, plenty of crystal and a menu that focuses on the most extravagant ingredients.

will join the Regent Seven Seas fleet as their sixth ship and the third in a series of new builds. ship will be the sister ship to the Seven Seas Splendor and the Seven Seas Explorer.

The ship will feature 15 cabin options, ranging from Veranda Suites to the extravagant 4,443-square-foot Regent Suite. The Regent Suite is priced at $11,000 per night and can accommodate up to six people. It includes a personal sauna, steam room, and treatment area offering unlimited complimentary spa services. 

The suite also has a master bedroom with a four-poster bed, a bathroom adorned with seven different types of marble, a second bedroom, dining room, living room with a bar, and a 1,227-square-foot wraparound veranda with a hot tub and a glass-enclosed relaxation space called “The Parlour.”

All suites on the ship will have balconies, marble bathrooms with walk-in showers, walk-in closets, sofas, and fully-stocked mini-bars. The ship will also feature various amenities such as bars, cocktail lounges, a theater, a spa and wellness facility with a thermal area and infinity pool, a fitness center, a pool, a sun deck, a putting green, a jogging track, a casino, a library, a business center, a cigar lounge, boutiques, and a card room.

During the day, passengers can enjoy activities like wine tastings, cooking classes, talks and lectures, trivia, deck games, and chess in the library.

A redesigned Compass Rose, the ship’s main dining room  will have a dramatic redesign by Miami-based Studio DADO, featuring an extravagant cascading waterfall sculpture at the entrance and a magical ambiance at night with illuminated trees and twinkling lights. 

The Compass Rose will offer a wide variety of options, allowing passengers to personalize their entrees with preferred sides, sauces, pastas, and main features such as Black Angus filet mignon, New Zealand lamb chops, Maine lobster tail, and king sea scallops. The restaurant will also have daily changing specials and a vegan and vegetarian menu. In addition to Compass Rose, there will be a buffet restaurant, two specialty restaurants (Prime 7 for steak and seafood, and Chartreuse for French cuisine), and a coffee shop called Coffee Connection. In-suite dining will be available 24/7.

Seven Seas Grandeur will be 55,500 gross tons and will have a capacity for 750 passengers with a crew of 542.
