Updated data suggests disruption of air traffic in the Baltic states is likely to be a byproduct of Russian defensive measures, impacting civil aviation operations in the region, analysts say.

Finnair has suspended flights to Tartu due to increased GPS jamming in the Baltic region

The latest jamming source is in mainland Russia, near St Petersburg and is likely intended to protect Russian forces from Ukrainian drone attacks.

Previously the jamming source was in Kaliningrad, a heavily militarised Russian exclave between Lithuania and Poland.
