Japan’s Asuka III has floated out of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg and is scheduled for delivery in spring 2025.

The LNG-powered vessel, built for NYK Group’s Asuka Cruise brand, will undergo outfitting before starting its Ems River conveyance in early March 2025.

Asuka III will offer itineraries from Japanese ports to the Far East and East Asia, featuring amenities like Japanese hot spring facilities, a nature-inspired pool deck, and a collection of art pieces by renowned artists.

Additionally, the 744-guest ship will include multiple dining venues, a large theater, and various lounges, enhancing its appeal for the summer 2025 season in Asia.
