Losses at Carton House hotel rise to €2.55m & revenues reach €21m

Pre-tax losses at Carton House hotel in Co Kildare more than doubled to €2.55m due to increased costs, despite a 13pc rise in revenues to €21.07m.

Operating losses increased threefold to €1.66m, with staff costs being the largest driver in costs, increasing by 29.5pc.

The owners of the resort are committed to maintaining significant investment and support to the business, continuing to invest in fixed assets and hosting events like the 2024 KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

The hotel resort was sold in 2017 and re-opened as a Fairmont Managed Hotel in 2021, with a current shareholder funds of €33.39m.
