An Azamara couple (not Alice & Sidney): the cruise line has found over 65s are becoming more active

Love begins at 88, Azamara cruises have confirmed. Alice Bearinger and Sidney Abrahams, both 88, found love aboard the Azamara Onward in December 2022. Almost a year later, they returned for another romantic Azamara cruise.

According to a press release, in 2023, 75pc of passengers between the ages of 65 to 75 have booked high-level activity shore excursions with Azamara.

European sailings, with Greece ranking among the top destinations, are particularly popular among senior guests of Azamara.

Data from Azamara shows a rising trend in the share of guests aged 60 to 89, with a 6pc increase compared to 2019.

Azamara offers Extended Destination Days, allowing travellers to spend 10 or more hours in port and explore lesser-known destinations like Argostoli, Patmos, and Amorgos.
