Lufthansa is set to update all service components for long-haul flights as part of its Future Onboard Experience initiative for its 100th anniversary in 2026.

Changes will encompass enhancements to the culinary offering, tableware, bedding, amenity kits, and overall onboard service.

The airline is renovating 30 lounges, including a redesigned lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport and the reopened Heathrow T2 lounge in January 2025.

The rollout of Allegris cabins has been initiated on nine A350-900 aircraft, with retrofitting scheduled for the Boeing 747-8 fleet starting this year.

A new dining experience for business class on short and medium-haul flights has been introduced, involving collaborations with celebrity chef Johann Lafer.

Jens Ritter CEO of Lufthansa shared “Lufthansa is investing in exclusivity and comfort on the ground by completely redesigning our First Class check-in areas and lounges in Munich and Frankfurt”.
