
Lyft plans to introduce autonomous vehicles in Germany and England in 2024, pending regulatory approval. The partnership with Baidu aims to integrate Apollo Go sixth-generation autonomous vehicles into the Lyft platform by 2026.
Baidu’s vehicles have successfully completed over 11m rides in 15 cities including Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. The acquisition of FREENOW will expand Lyft’s service capabilities in Europe, enhancing customer access to ride-sharing options.
