

Madeira will host the 2024 Cruise Atlantic Islands Conference on September 27, marking the 30th anniversary of the first CAI meeting and focusing on the future of the Atlântico region in the global cruise market.
Organized by APRAM, SA, the event aims to address challenges and opportunities faced by the CAI in the cruise tourism industry.
The conference will bring together CAI members from Madeira, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, and the Azores, along with industry stakeholders, government officials, and journalists, co-hosted by CLIA Europe Vice President Nikos Mertzanidis.
The event will also showcase the Port of Funchal’s international recognition with nominations for the World Cruise Awards, celebrating the partnership formed between the port authorities of Madeira and the Canary Islands in 1994.
