Marriott buys Postcard Cabins brand to expand into outdoor lodging

Marriott International is expanding its portfolio into outdoor-focused lodging by acquiring the Postcard Cabins brand and forming a long-term partnership with Trailborn, which operates 559 rooms in nature-centric locations.

The Postcard Cabins, featuring over 1,200 cabins equipped with private bathrooms and kitchens, and Trailborn’s properties near major natural landmarks will be integrated into Marriott’s platforms in 2025.

Marriott plans to launch a new collection focusing on upscale accommodations in nature-based destinations, catering to travelers seeking immersive outdoor experiences.

This strategic move aligns with industry trends as other major hotel groups, such as Hilton and Hyatt, have also formed partnerships with outdoor hospitality companies to enhance their offerings in eco-friendly and adventure lodging.
