Belfast Lord Mayor Ryan Murphy became the first official visitor to McConnell’s Distillery and Visitor Experience, which opened its doors after a two-year building programme, aiming to attract over 100,000 visitors annually to north Belfast and create more than 50 full-time jobs.

Guests at McConnell’s Distillery will have the chance to learn about the brand’s history, witness the whiskey-making process, and sample award-winning whiskies during the guided tours, priced at £25 for adult tickets.

CEO John Kelly of Belfast Distillery Company said “after years of planning, building and fitting out. We are very confident that all of our guests, locals and tourists alike, will have a truly world-class experience when they come through our doors.”
