The Mein Schiff 5 has completed a routine drydock in the United Arab Emirates and welcomed guests back on December 3rd after a 12-day stay in Dubai.

The cruise ship underwent regular surveys, technical overhauls, and maintenance work during the drydock, along with upgrades to its public areas.

Over 1,000 crew members and shipyard workers were involved in the project, including the installation of new carpeting and addition of features like a renovated shore excursions desk, an exterior bar, a future cruise office, and a new art gallery.

After the refit, the Mein Schiff 5 embarked on a repositioning voyage from Dubai to Singapore, with stops in the Middle East, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. It will then offer 14-night cruises in Southeast Asia, followed by itineraries in the Far East, including China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. In May, the ship will sail back to Europe via Dubai and Heraklion, starting a summer season cruising the Eastern Mediterranean and Greek Islands in June.
