MSC Cruises and Chantiers de l’Atlantique celebrated the delivery of the MSC World America and marked milestones for the MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic at the shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
The MSC World America is set to be officially named on April 9 at the MSC Miami Cruise Terminal, targeting the U.S. market with new venues and concepts designed for American guests.
The coin ceremony for the MSC World Asia featured godmothers Marialuisa Iaccarino and Flavie Biondo, with the ship expected to enter service in winter 2026-27, focusing on Mediterranean routes.
MSC Group Chairman Gianluigi Aponte and Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago attended the ceremonies, highlighting a partnership between MSC and Chantiers de l’Atlantique that has spanned over 20 years and resulted in numerous ships.
Vago noted that the construction of the three ships signifies an investment exceeding €3.4 billion in France’s shipbuilding industry, underscoring MSC’s commitment to innovation and environmental performance in cruising.
