MSC has opened their Miami Cruise Terminal, their second terminal in a week after Barcelona, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key officials and industry leaders.
Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Group’s Cruise Division, acknowledged the project’s advancements in technology and sustainability during his address.
The terminal, designed by Arquitectonica, can accommodate up to 36,000 passengers daily and has the capacity for three ships to dock simultaneously.
Unique features include a fully automated baggage handling system, biometric embarkation processes, and elements focusing on energy efficiency, such as shore power capability.
Art installations commissioned for the terminal include a large-scale animated projection that utilises real-time ocean data, enhancing the experience for guests, particularly those accessing the exclusive MSC Yacht Club.
