MSC Cruises has placed orders for two additional LNG-powered World Class ships from Chantiers de l’Atlantique, expanding its fleet to complement the four already in development or delivered.

The newly ordered vessels, referred to as World Class 5 and 6, are set to be delivered in 2029 and 2030.

Alongside World Class 5 and 6, MSC’s current fleet will include MSC World Europa, MSC World America, MSC World Asia, and MSC World Atlantic, with two latest ships launching in 2026 and 2027.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to debut in late 2026 and will operate in Europe, while MSC World Atlantic will begin cruises from Port Canaveral starting in 2027.
