MSC Cruises has confirmed upgrades to the fitness and spa areas on MSC Poesia ahead of its inaugural Alaska season. The refurbishments occur while the ship is in drydock in Malta and include a redesigned MSC Aurea Spa and expanded MSC Gym by Technogym. Updated treatment rooms and thermal area feature treatments for colder climates with massages for muscle tension and post excursion recovery.
The spa introduces warming creams oils and hydrating treatments to protect skin against cold. The MSC Gym relocates with new equipment larger layout dedicated studios for group classes and a separate cycling studio. Personalised wellness consultations include Footbalance and InBody assessments.
Following refurbishment and repositioning voyage MSC Poesia sails seven night Alaska itineraries from Seattle from May until September 2026. The changes match the onboard experience to Alaska landscapes. The ship was the venue for the ITAA conference in 2007.
