Navan Local Distributor Road 4 (LDR4) and bridge over the Blackwater river in county Meath has opened to traffic, linking Kells Road to Ratholdren Road.

The 1.2km route features right-turn lanes, pedestrian crossings, and cycle paths to improve safety and accessibility. LDR4 reduces congestion previously reliant on the inner relief road, enhancing travel times. The project includes landscaping, new access to Blackwater Park, and drainage upgrades with an attenuation pond. The road supports future housing and business growth in north Navan’s strategic development lands.

Padraig Fitzsimons shared: “It’s a game changer for people, particularly in North Navan.”

Yemi Adenuga shared: “I’m thrilled to see the LDR4 finally open to the public.”
