Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has cancelled all calls to Israel for both the remainder of 2023 and the entirety of 2024, in anticipation that it will take time for people to feel comfortable traveling to Israel again,
CEO Harry Sommer made the points during the third quarter earnings call, but expressed optimism about returning to other destinations in the Middle East, such as Egypt.
He mentioned that the cancellation of Israel calls is not expected to significantly impact their targets for 2024. As a result of this decision, the company has observed some close-in cancellations and adjustments to bookings in the Eastern Mediterranean.
