NCL expansion at Great Stirrup Cay in Bahamas will feature 19 slides and a dynamic river

Norwegian Cruise Line’s newbuild Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay ahead of summer 2026, featuring 19 slides and a dynamic river.

The park will include the Caribbean’s first cliffside jumps and Tidal Tower, which will house eight waterslides, including two of the tallest. A family-friendly area called Cliffside Cove will offer racer slides, cliff jumps, and the Caribbean’s only family slide for four guests.

Guests can enjoy a 9,000-square-foot kids’ splash zone with an oversized tipping bucket and mini slides, along with an immersive dynamic river experience.

Cabanas will be available at the edges of the dynamic river and kids’ splash zone, along with The Grotto Bar for a relaxed atmosphere.

A written statement from Norwegian Cruise Line shared “The Great Tides Waterpark was designed to offer more for guests to enjoy and do while visiting the company’s private island destination in the Bahamas. A highlight of the river will be an illuminated grotto tunnel featuring a dreamlike bioluminescent scene for the ultimate multi-sensory experiencecl.”
