Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced a newbuild order for eight vessels across its three brands, adding nearly 25,000 berths with new ship classes and construction of a multi-ship pier at Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
The ships are scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2036, with Norwegian Cruise Line receiving four Prima-Plus class ships followed by four larger ships in 2030, 2032, 2034, and 2036.
Oceania Cruises plans to have two 86,000-gross-ton ships delivered in 2027 and 2029, complementing its Allura Class ships, while Regent Seven Seas Cruises will receive two 77,000-gross-ton ships in 2026 and 2029 following the Explorer Class ships.
The strategic new-ship order is aimed at introducing cutting-edge vessels, leveraging operational scale, enhancing innovation, and providing new products and experiences to guests. The partnership with Fincantieri will focus on designing the largest, most efficient, and innovative vessels for each brand.
