Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Embassy in Irelandhave hosted members of the Irish travel trade as part of a collaboration on the Fjord & North + Widerøe event to boost tourism. The event tfocussed on year-round tourism and future collaboration prospects.
Ten tourism companies from Fjord and Northern Norway presented to Irish tour operators, travel agents, and media representatives.
Widerøe recently launched a year-round direct route between Dublin and Bergen, facilitating easier access to Norway’s fjords.
A written statement shared: “The programme included presentations on cooperation and season extension,” showcasing the importance of networking in the travel industry. We’ve worked to highlight the potential of combining Fjord Norway and Northern Norway into one seamless journey – in every season.”
