Norwegian Aqua has been officially named at PortMiami’s LEED Gold Certified terminal.

The ceremony featured remarks from Captain Robert Lundberg and a ship blessing by Pastor Pete Pera.

Over 2,000 guests attended, with the event highlighting the concert “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince.”

The ship, under the command of Captain Lundberg, will begin sailing Caribbean routes from Miami in October 2026.

Norwegian Aqua’s itinerary includes stops at destinations like Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and Tortola, alongside Great Stirrup Cay.

David J. Herrera shared: “It is a very special time for all of us at NCL; we are welcoming a new incredible ship into our fleet with the christening of the Norwegian Aqua, and we are doing so alongside her godfather, Eric Stonestreet, who perfectly embodies the authenticity of what it means for our guests to ‘Experience More at Sea.”
