Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 took place from April 7-10 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, celebrating its 40th anniversary with over 11,000 participants from more than 120 countries.
The event featured the World Cruise Tourism Summit on Monday, where industry leaders, including Dona Regis-Prosper, addressed key topics such as supply and demand, new markets, and sustainability.
Seatrade showcased “The Stage is Set,” focusing on cruise entertainment, alongside networking opportunities and sessions on onboard retail’s impact on guest experiences.
Wednesday featured a full day dedicated to ports and destinations, where industry leaders offer practical solutions and explore emerging opportunities in this dynamic sector. Shuttle buses run every 30 minutes from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, connecting attendees to F&B@Sea 2025, a co-located event focused on the future of cruise dining and drinking, featuring over 120 vendors, cocktail masterclasses, curated menus, and the F&B@Sea Awards.
On Thursday the event wraps up with continued access to F&B@Sea (shuttles from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and additional conference content. Throughout the week, the agenda includes over 50 hours of sessions covering sustainability advances, technological innovations, luxury travel, expedition cruising, itinerary planning, design and ship interiors, health and safety, crew recruitment, and operational best practices. The exhibition floor, organized into sector-specific “neighborhoods” like Design & Ship Interiors, Entertainment, IT/Security, and Ports & Destinations, facilitates connections between buyers and suppliers.
Networking is a cornerstone of the event, with receptions, sector-specific happy hours, and parties enhancing organic connections. The “Seatrade Cruise 20 Under 40” list will also be revitalized and announced, spotlighting rising talent. This vibrant gathering blends tradition with forward-looking visions, offering a mix of education, inspiration, and collaboration for the global cruise community.
Dona Regis-Prosper, Secretary General of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation shared, “This session dives into critical issues such as opportunities and challenges, supply and demand, new markets, the 2024 orderbook surge, product innovation, AI’s role, sustainability, and regional insights.”
