Owners of Brandon Hotel in Tralee portfolio valued at €306m

The owners of Brandon Hotel in Tralee have had their portfolio valued at €306m following a revaluation carried out last year.

Among the group’s assets were the Brandon Hotel in Tralee and Phoenix House in Dublin’s Smithfield.

Santenay, whose directors were John Byrne’s wife, Ciara, and their son, also John Byrne, ultimately controlled by a friendly society called Claraduff Society Ltd.

Newly filed accounts for Santenay showed that it made an operating profit of €13.3m last year compared to €12.8m in 2023.

A €33.8m gain following a revaluation of investment properties resulted in it recording a €47.1m pre-tax profit for last year.
