Three buildings at Duncannon Fort will be brought back into use as part of a masterplan developed by consultants, Urban Scale Interventions (USI) and published by Wexford Cunty Council at an event attended by 100 people.
The project team is preparing a schedule of works for Duncannon Fort, which will involve replacing the bridge deck, addressing electrical wiring issues, upgrading toilet facilities, and performing painting and general maintenance on three buildings.
Funding for the project has been secured under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme, with additional funding from Wexford County Council, and the works are scheduled to be completed by August 2024.
