
The Port of Cork Company anticipates a 23pc increase in cruise ship visits for 2024 compared to 2023.
A total of 116 cruise vessels are expected to visit the port between April and November, up from 94 ships in 2023.
The growth in cruise traffic is estimated to contribute €17m to the local economy.
Conor Mowlds, chief commercial officer at the Port of Cork Company, said: “We are thrilled to see the cruise industry is continuing to thrive. The success of the cruise industry in Cork is attributed to collaborative efforts from the Port, City, County, and local businesses, positioning Cork as a premier cruise destination.”
