Powerscourt Hotel Resort and Spa granted approval to build a 56-bed staff accommodation complex by An Bord Pleanála after a dispute with Scalaheen Limited linked to the Slazenger family.
The conflict began in August 2022 when Wicklow County Council approved the hotel’s application, facing opposition from Scalaheen Limited questioning the hotel’s legal standing.
The dispute centred around the Powerscourt Hotel’s authority to construct the staff hub, with Scalaheen Limited challenging the application based on legal interest concerns.
