Princess Cruises has announced the cancellation of a sailing on the Sun Princess, initially scheduled to depart Barcelona on March 19, 2026.
The cancelled six-day Mediterranean cruise was set to include stops in Gibraltar, Marseille, and Genoa before arriving in Civitavecchia.
Guests will receive full refunds for their payments within two weeks, along with a Future Cruise Credit worth 20pc of the base cruise fare.
Instead of the cancelled voyage, the Sun Princess will now offer a nine-night itinerary from Barcelona to Piraeus, featuring several popular Mediterranean destinations.
The ship will return to the Mediterranean in 2026, offering a variety of cruises from March to October, visiting countries including Spain, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
Princess shared: “Please be advised that due to changes in our deployment program, your six-day Mediterranean voyage with France and Italy voyage on the Sun Princess has regrettably been cancelled. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause.”
