More cruise cancellations had preceded the arrival of Tropical Cyclone Alfred on the Australian coast. Royal Caribbean International has cancelled the Quantum of the Seas cruise scheduled to depart from Brisbane due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

The ship’s return to Brisbane has been delayed because of the storm and the subsequent closure of the Port of Brisbane.

Passengers will receive full refunds for their cruise fare and pre-purchased services, as well as a Future Cruise Credit ranging from $100 to $400 based on their booking category.

The Quantum of the Seas is expected to return to Brisbane on March 10, 2025, with changes to its itinerary, including an additional visit to Noumea.
