
Three Quark expeditions adventure cruise ships are among five ships changing hands this month:
- Blue Dream Melody (formerly AIDAvita and Avitak) – A 2021 built 1,270 passenger ship acquired by Blue Dream Cruises in February 2024, to serve the Chinese domestic market.
- Ocean Adventurer (formerly Alla Tarasova, Clipper Adventurer, and Sea Adventurer) – A 1974 build 117 passenger ship leaving Quark Expeditions’ fleet and will be replaced by the Ocean Explorer in 2024.
- Ocean Explorer – A 2021 built 140 passenger ship chartered by Quark Expeditions in January 2024, set to enter service for the brand this year.
- Ocean Odyssey – A 2022 built 140 passenger ship chartered out and set to operate outside the cruise market after being laid up in France.
- Villa Vie Odyssey (formerly Crown Dynasty, Cunard Dynasty, Crown Majesty, Norwegian Dynasty, and Braemar) – Sold to Villa Vie Residences in December 2023 for a new product that allows passengers to live onboard as they travel through different parts of the world onboard the 977 capacity cruise ship.
