Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans for a 154-room hotel first property in Madrid scheduled to open in 2027, housed within a heritage-protected classical building on Alcala Street in the city’s Canalejas area.

The property at Alcalá 21, the Generali building, will be a mixed use complex offering premium retail outlets on the ground floor, with ten floors of hotel space above.

It will include a first floor signature restaurant and bar, and a rooftop restaurant and bar on the 13th floor, as well as a spa and fitness centre.

The Radisson Collection was launched in 2018 and currently operates around 65 properties, incuding European openings such as Paris, Roma Antica, and Santa Sofia Milan. Further openings are scheduled for 2025 in locations including Budapest, Casablanca, Brussels and Lake Como.
