Belfast Harbour celebrated its 1,500th cruise call with the Regal Princess at an onboard ceremony. Since 1996, Belfast’s cruise sector has expanded, contributing approximately £25m annually to the local economy.
In 2025, Belfast Harbour is set to host 148 cruise calls from 58 ships, including 10 first-time visitors.
Captain Aldo Traverso shared: “It’s an honor for the Regal Princess to be a part of this milestone at Belfast Harbour. Visiting this city has always been met with warmth and hospitality.”
Michael Robinson, port director, shared: “Reaching this milestone is a fantastic achievement. The cruise sector brings significant numbers of people to the city, supporting local tourism businesses.”
