Riyadh Air has placed an order for an undisclosed number of narrowbody and widebody aircraft, with details to be revealed gradually over the coming months.
CEO Tony Douglas told Arabian Travel Market that the Saudi carrier plans to secure additional narrowbody and widebody aircraft orders to support the scale of its network operations.
Riyadh Air, where Peter Bellew is COO, expects to place its second widebody order by 2025 and aims to begin ticket sales in January 2025, with a planned launch in June of the same year.
The airline plans on having ten “mostly international” destinations by the end of 2025 and aims to add around two new destinations per month throughout the rest of the decade.
