New Pacific Airlines, headed up by Irish American Rob McKinney, has quietly terminated its twice-weekly roundtrip flights between Ontario International and Las Vegas Harry Reid as of January 1, 2024, due to prolonged ground delays at Las Vegas.

The termination reduces the start-up’s routes to two – from Ontario to Nashville International and from Ontario to Reno/Tahoe.

The airline, which started operations in mid-2023 and was initially known as Northern Pacific Airways, found the ground delays uncharacteristic of the service level it seeks to provide for its customers.

Though its long-term goal remains to link North Asia and the US through Anchorage as a stopover port, New Pacific aims to expand throughout the US and North America in the meantime.
