Romania’s Dan Air becomes Dublin’s 44tth airline with a Dublin to Bacau route to launch December 12.

It is one of 13 air routes Dan Air plans from “George Enescu” Airport in Bacãu during the months of November and December 2023. Fights start in mid-November to seven European destinations. 

  • Bacãu – Brussels (BRU), every Wednesday, from November 5, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Munich, every Wednesday, from November 5, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Nuremberg, every Monday and Thursday, from November 3, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Stuttgart, every Monday and Thursday, from November 3, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Barcelona, every Tuesday, from November 4, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Madrid, every Tuesday, from November 4, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Valencia, every Sunday, from November 9, 2023.

Six additional routes will follow in mid December between Bacãu Airport and destinations in Ireland, Italy, and England: 

  • Bacãu – Dublin, every Tuesday and Saturday, from December 21, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Catania, every Thursday, from December 14, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Rome FCO, every Wednesday and Sunday, from December 31, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Turin, every Tuesday and Saturday, from December 21, 2023.
  • Bacãu – London LTN, every Monday and Friday, from December 1, 2023.
  • Bacãu – Liverpool, every Thursday, from December 14, 2023.

Tickets for flights on Dan Air’s 31 routes available for reservation on the airline’s website. Some tickets may only be on sale for flights scheduled until mid-December 2023, and certain routes are operated on a combined basis. The airline may make changes to the flight schedule for these routes in the near future.

Dan Air’s fleet consists of two A320s and one A319.It as a fleet of two A320s and one A319. The flights will be operated using a mix of Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. The Airbus A319 can accommodate 144 passengers in economy class, while the A320 model has a seating capacity of 12 passengers in business class and 156 in economy class.

Bucharest based Dan Air began operating regular passenger flights under its own brand in June 2023.

Previously, the airline operated charter and wet lease flights with its own aircraft for various other airlines since its establishment in late 2017.

As of July 2023, Dan Air ceased its flights from the Bucharest–Otopeni airport and shifted its focus to the Brașov airport.Due to scheduling constraints at the Brașov airport, the company is relocating all its flights to the Bacău airport starting in November 2023.
