Romantic Castles of Ireland partners to restore Killeen Castle in Meath

Romantic Castles of Ireland confirmed a strategic partnership to restore and redevelop Killeen Castle in Dunsany, County Meath, a site with over 800 years of history. Renovation works are scheduled to begin in spring 2026 with full reopening planned for 2028.

The collaboration aims to bring the castle back into use while preserving its architectural features. Killeen Castle ranks among Ireland’s distinguished historic properties. The partnership marks an expansion for Romantic Castles of Ireland in managing significant Irish sites.

Romantic Castles of Ireland shared in a written statement “We are delighted to partner with Romantic Castles of Ireland as they embark on the restoration of the Castle itself. This will complement and enhance the existing offerings at Killeen Castle.”
