Royal Caribbean International announced an additional preview sailing for the Star of the Seas from Port Canaveral on 16 August 2025.
The cruise line conducted rigorous sea trials in Turku, Finland, where the Star of the Seas performed exceptionally well.
An additional four-night Star Showcase Cruise to Perfect Day has been added to the ship’s inaugural season to celebrate its debut.
The ship is scheduled for its official maiden voyage on 31 August 2025, embarking on a seven-night cruise to the Western Caribbean, including stops in Mexico, the Bahamas, and Honduras.
Currently under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard, the LNG-powered Star of the Seas has undergone successful sea trials and will offer year-round Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral.
Jason Liberty shared “The best elements of every vacation have been rigorously tested during the ship’s sea trials in Turku, Finland, and the Star of the Seas performed extremely well. To officially kick off our inaugural season, we have added in an additional four-night Star Showcase Cruise to Perfect Day. We simply can’t wait to debut the world’s best family vacation.”
