Royal Caribbean International has laid the keel to commence construction of its third Icon Class ship, marked by a ceremony at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.
The unnamed ship is set to debut in 2026, with further details about its design and features expected to be released soon.
The keel-laying celebration included placing freshly minted coins under the ship’s first building block, symbolizing good fortune as teams from the cruise line and the shipyard participated in the ceremony.
This new addition follows the Icon of the Seas, which entered service in 2023, and the Star of the Seas, set to launch in August 2025, with plans for a fourth ship in 2027 and potential future vessels, all offering extensive dining and entertainment options.
