Royal Caribbean to introduce eight new ships over the next five years

The Royal Caribbean Group plans to introduce eight new ships over the next five years, Seatrade Cruise Summit in Miami beach has been told, significantly expanding its fleets across Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and TUI Cruises.

With an investment of over $10bn, the new vessels will add more than 37,000 berths to the company’s operations, built at shipyards including Fincantieri, Meyer Turku, and Chantiers de l’Atlantique.

TUI Cruises will welcome the Mein Schiff Flow in 2026, following the earlier introduction of Mein Schiff Relax.

Celebrity Cruises is set to receive two new ships, starting with Celebrity Xcel expected later this year and a sister ship in 2028.

Royal Caribbean International will see the most vessels, including the Star of the Seas launching in August as one of the largest cruise ships, and the Legend of the Seas scheduled for mid-2026 launch.
