Royal Caribbean’s newbuild Star of the Seas has embarked on its first revenue cruise from Port Canaveral.
The ship is the second in Royal Caribbean’s Icon class and was delivered by the Meyer Turku shipyard in early July. The official naming ceremony, featuring research astronaut Kellie Gerardi, is scheduled for August 20, 2025.
The vessel will operate a year-round schedule of seven-night cruises to the Caribbean, starting with its maiden voyage on August 31, 2025.
Destinations include Mexico, Honduras, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Puerto Rico, with visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay.
