
Royal Caribbean International has given a positive outlook of “at least $9” in its earnings forecast for 2024 due to the return of operations to normalcy and strong demand.
In January 2024, Royal Caribbean International will launch the world’s largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas. The vessel includes the largest water park at sea and the AquaDome, a transformational venue with a huge waterfall.
The company gave an upbeat forecast during its Q3 earnings call. Highlights of 2023 include:
- The company embarked on its longest cruise ever in December 2023. The 274-night Ultimate World Cruise visited 150 destinations in 65 countries, marking the company’s return to South America and the Middle East.
- Royal Caribbean-owned companies Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises launched new ships in 2023. The Celebrity Ascent offered cruises in the Caribbean whilst the Silver Nova was recognized as one of the greenest cruise ships.
- Royal Caribbean repositioned ships to different homeports in 2023 and returned to Latin America after almost a decade. The Harmony of the Seas also started a year-round program at the Texas homeport.
- Symphony and Enchantment of Seas returned to Europe, Vision of Seas arrived in Baltimore, and Allure of Seas started offering short trips out of Port Canaveral regularly.
