Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas has successfully completed its sea trials and returned to Meyer Turku shipyard on May 27.

The vessel spent eight days at sea, during which all systems were tested and verified to be functioning correctly, as reported by the shipbuilder.

Project Manager Jaakko Leinonen expressed enthusiasm about the trials, sharing that there was a strong sense of team spirit during the process.

Star of the Seas is scheduled to debut in August 2025 as the second ship in the Icon Class, with planned week-long sailings from Port Canaveral, Florida.

The completion of the sea trials marks a significant milestone before the ship’s official launch and continued work on its finishing touches.
