Ryanair has criticised English Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s plan to address “hidden” airline fees in the forthcoming Westminster parliamentary session.

England’s government is set to reveal their strategy to tackle the issue of “drip pricing” in the King’s Speech on Tuesday.

It has signalled its intentions to end “drip pricing” refers to the practice of airlines advertising a low base price that doesn’t include additional fees like seat reservations and luggage charges.

Ryanair’s criticism raises concerns or objections about the proposed measures. The airline maintains none of its additional fees are hidden and that passengers can fly at the lowest price by avoid ancillaries such as priority check in.
