Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and TAROM have announced a new codeshare agreement to enhance connectivity between Scandinavia and Romania. The partnership, launching on 9 February 2026, allows seamless travel via major European hubs like Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Prague. This collaboration combines the networks of both airlines, providing more options for passengers.
SAS customers can access TAROM-operated flights from Bucharest to these hubs, with onward connections on SAS to Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm. Conversely, TAROM will place its code on SAS services from the hubs to the Nordic region. The agreement supports SAS’s strategy to strengthen its hubs and improve passenger flows across Europe.
Paul Verhagen shared “This new partnership with TAROM marks an important step in enhancing connectivity between Scandinavia and Romania. By combining our networks and offering smooth transfers via key European hubs, we are giving our customers more choice, flexibility, and convenience across their journeys. Together with TAROM, we look forward to delivering a seamless and reliable travel experience for all passengers.”
