SAS is to host an event marking its move to Skyteam from Star Alliance in Copenhagen today. The programme of the day will be put the spotlight on how SAS and SkyTeam together will cover the world – from North to South.

The doors open at 14:30, followed by an on-stage program between 15-17. SkyTeam airline CEO’s will talk about the latest updates, well-known industry names discussing sustainability for the future, and a keynote on the topic of We are Scandinavia – what makes us so unique?

In addition to speakers and themed talks, expect to experience a high paced programme with a lot of surprises, activations and news, as well as the possibility to explore SAS, SkyTeam and Scandinavia in a way that never has been done before.

The on-stage program will be followed by mingle, networking and activations, from 17-19.

SAS joined the SkyTeam global airline alliance on September 1, transitioning from Star Alliance, while ensuring continuity for EuroBonus frequent flyer members with similar loyalty benefits.

EuroBonus members maintain their program status and points, with EuroBonus Silver becoming SkyTeam Elite, Gold and Diamond members becoming SkyTeam Elite Plus, receiving benefits like priority check-in and lounge access.

Starting September 1, 2024, EuroBonus members will earn points on most SkyTeam airlines, ceasing to earn EuroBonus points on Star Alliance airlines and enabling point claims for flights taken prior to that date.

Members can redeem EuroBonus points for travel on SkyTeam airlines starting September 1, 2024, with the ability to cancel or rebook award tickets up to 24 hours before departure; no new bookings on Star Alliance airlines will be allowed post-August 31, 2024.
