Scotland’s Green party has proposed a tax on cruise ships visiting Scotland to reduce harmful emissions and the impact on port communities.
The aim is to raise funds to support communities hosting cruise ships and encourage the adoption of zero-emission ships. Scottish Greens believe that one cruise ship emits as much carbon as 12k cars.
